More Commonly known as noog/nug, Niger Seed, Ramtil or Ramtilla, inga seed and black seed. It is a fruit of plant called achene is also widely used as birdseeds. Niger seeds is grown and used in souther parts of india and is used in the making of hot sauce, chutney and also used as a taste maker in curries.Niger seed is an erect, tall standing branched herb which is grown for its edible oil and seeds. Its Cultivation originated in Ethiopian highlands and then spread to other parts of Ethiopia
